Lisa + Dakota's Engagement Session
Updated: Jul 8, 2020
You know that feeling when you first meet someone and you feel instant warmth? That's the feeling I got when I met Lisa and Dakota. It was a little bit breezy and cold outside that day but they were happy to sit at an outdoor table at Bold Bean while we drank coffee and talked about their wedding plans. They told me about their mutual love of nature, hiking, and the environment. (I must say, I could somewhat guess this based on their stickered Nalgene water bottles.) Needless to say, we clicked instantly. After we talked logistics, Lisa and Dakota decided to have their engagement session on Big Talbott Island, at a place called Boneyard Beach. We wanted to harness the golden light and their playful, adventurous energy. There is something so beautiful about getting to photograph two people who just love having fun with each other. The photos from their session completely captured everything that their love encompasses and you can feel joy emanating from the sun rays.
Lisa and Dakota are getting married on March 14th and each day that we get closer, the more excited I get. I am so happy for these friends I've made and the opportunity to document their beautiful relationship.
